So I am hiding no more! (I'm living doorlessly, remember!)
I've never been ahead of the curve in any sense or sensibility, and I am genuinely thankful for those who are (most of the time...at least when I'm not wallowing in envy over their forward-thinking brilliance), especially when they are willing to off-load some of their wisdom and insight into my pitifully outstretched hands.
Now, thanks to Kate, I have a Facebook author page. That's right. I do. And I alerted all of my Facebook friends about a billion times on their FB newsfeed because I couldn't figure out how to share the link. So I just kept sharing it...and sharing it. (I'm sure I've gotten several disgruntled clicks of the "unfriend" button aimed at me today.)
So, if you're feeling generous or sympathetic or adventurous in an I-wonder-what-idiot-thing-Anna's-gonna-do-next kind of way, please feel free to find me on Facebook and "like" my author page. And I've even managed to include a link below--My IEP in social networking might just be paying off--although I couldn't figure out how to get a nice little picture/blurb to accompany the link. *sigh* (That'll have to be next week's lesson.)
Next on the list--Tumblr. Yes, I will conquer that too...eventually. Unless the svelte social networkers kill me for my incompetence. If that happens will someone please shut down my FB author page? Cause I don't know how to do that.

1. You are entirely too sweet. Thank you for sharing my series!
ReplyDelete2. I am writing the Tumblr de-mystification post this weekend. If you can be patient and wait until Tuesday, you shall have it!
3. I'm so glad you took the plunge and have an author page! Amy and I can start pimping you professionally now.
4. If you don't think that Amy and I are effective or dedicated pimps, think again, my dear. :-)
Well, you too Kate are entirely too sweet to grace those of us stumbling in the dark with your wealth of social networking knowledge--I appreciate your dedication and your pimping :)
DeleteI'm enjoying your blog...and I liked your page...I'm number 41, lol.

Thank you so much, Debbi, for being number 41! And for continuing to support my blog - always fun to see you here :)
DeleteGoodness, Anna, no wonder you're exhausted! Good luck with the facebook endeavor. I have a personal facebook page so I can get my grandkids pics, but that's about all I do there. Don't foget to save some brainpower to write your books, too :)
ReplyDeleteThat is always the concern, Danni. It's easy to get caught up in the networking for your writing and lose track of the writing itself. Working to find a balance--but at the end of the day, I'll sacrifice networking to all the rest: family, writing, sleep, etc. I have also found that since I have FB and Twitter on my iPhone, I can be on and off rather quickly, rather than spend hours perusing the cyber-sphere. Helps keep all this insanity in check.
DeleteI'm right there with you, Anna. I created the FB page and publicized it halfassedly. Twitter makes my eyes bleed. And just promoting my blog posts makes me want to run and hide and cry. But I'm doing it. Tell me why I need to do Tumblir? I have an account and avoid it like it's brussel sprouts.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm nominating you for a Sunshine Award. See my latest post for the details.
xoxo
Well, I'm not 100% sure about Tumblr yet, except that Kate said it's something you GOTTA do. But at this point I'm just waiting for Kate to write her blog post about Tumblr so she can focus my flailing.
DeleteAnd thank you so much for the nomination! Sweet! I'll be sure to amble over to ADDled soon.
